One of the things that thrills our hearts is that God was and is and always will be on the throne. Others, in particular Satan, have tried to usurp His throne (For you have said in your heart: I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God ... Isa 14:13a), but none has succeeded!

And we now have this glorious testimony that Jesus Christ, the Son of God when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high (Heb 1:3) angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him. (1 Pet 3:22) Now, we know that not everything is yet made subject to Him, because His Father says “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool”? (Heb 1:13 & Ps 110:1) But we are not to worry about this state of affairs, instead we are to keep our gaze focussed on Jesus: But now we do not yet see all things put under him. But we see Jesus ... (Heb 2:8-9) This is however, a temporary state for Paul tells us that He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. (1 Cor 15:25)

For the present, then the Lord is seated at the right of hand of God where He is upholding all things by the word of His power (Heb 1:3), where He is a High Priest (Heb 8:1) and where He makes intercession for us. (Rom 8:34) What a privileged people we are!

What must we do? Firstly, make sure that we have bowed our knee to his Lordship , and then introduce others to this wonderful Lord, who reigns over time and eternity.
